The Story of a Rising Digital Nomad
Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past and live with the same version certainly miss the future version — Diksha Sachan
The greatest discovery is that a person can change their life just from a changing attitude, this is what one of the youngest women has shown with her work to the whole world. Today, we all are aware of a person who is a Traveller, Digital Influencer and one of the youngest Indian Entrepreneurs Diksha Sachan - Co-founder of GhumoAlive, which is a travel company dealing into offbeat travelling via promoting local places with an innovative model and it is listed in the top 100 travel companies in the world.
She along with her team has visited different countries together and works remotely without any office or headquarters. She has won several awards for her work in the travel blogosphere and delivered many TEDx Talks that focus on designing the life of one’s dreams through passion and hard work. She is a Guinness World Record holder in Laughter Yoga Marathon(2018) and is determined on questioning convention, chasing true happiness, and phasing out the negativity or clutter that define modern life. She is an opacarophile, especially when it comes to sunsets over the ocean and mountains.
Diksha works as a travel photographer and travel writer, and her articles, photos and blogs are published in several renowned magazines, newspapers, online portals including magazines like Destinations of a lifetime, National Geographic Traveller and Travel+Leisure. Some of the ways in which she earns money include Travel writing, Lifestyle photography, Social media campaigns, Product reviews and Social media consultations. She is a known travel blogger and is financially and mentally independent, always having a plan B in her life.
This is all about her success but how she reached on top by giving a distinctive direction is where her thought “The Law of Change” comes in. She has always travelled to different places since her childhood due to paramilitary background of her parents. She settled in Delhi and during her Master’s degree got placed in a reputed company but COVID 19 in March 2020 made her onboarding delayed. She was worried about her career but deep inside wanted to go in in digital marketing rather than any other domain. She even thought of doing MBA in digital marketing but there was no such course in India and she ended up doing it in general management. This was the time when she made a decision that changed her whole life. When everyone was struggling with their boredom in the lockdown and the quarantine period, she discovered herself by joining an internship by Digital Deepak which was no less than a golden opportunity for a person like her. Diksha got a chance to work under his guidance and learnt from him for the next 16 weeks. Though it was just 16 weeks, but the vision was not for short term and it was to develop herself into version 2.0. Next, she joined a company and also practised freelancing simultaneously. She mastered the art of social media marketing beautifully and got many clients from the travel industry. Even then she didn’t stop learning. According to her, fitness also plays a crucial role in our life which can be taken care with little workout and a healthy diet.
She believes life is itself a forever learning process and has learnt many skills each time she wished and fulfilled her dreams. She was fond of gadgets and gifted herself an action camera GoPro, not only this, she was also interested in music and thus bought a guitar and learned to play it. Diksha gifted a dream tour package to her parents and this was the time when she never turned back to stop herself and kept on moving in her life with the same zeal and passion.
She is a social activist right from her college days and is a part of Clownselors since 2016, which is a volunteer-based group engaged in medical clowning. Dressed up as clowns, they interact and perform different acts for children and adults to expedite the healing process at hospitals along with sessions at old age homes, mental homes, orphanages, special schools, shelter homes, refugee camps, schools, universities and workplaces. She has taken this initiative beyond the seas now and states that's it's her another version of happiness to share and care.
She is a Protagonist by personality and they are genuine, caring people who talk the talk and walk the walk, and nothing makes them happier than leading the charge, uniting and motivating their team with infectious enthusiasm. She is an admirer of Barack Obama who also reflects a protagonist personality.
The change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.- Barack Obama
It's an ongoing story which has the stepping stone laid down to turn everything into reality.
Kudos!
